Katniss, the girl on fire! This three story trilogy is based on fire as Katniss being known as The Girl On Fire because of her leadership skills and the way other people see her after her awesome entrance in the first Hunger Games. Katniss now lives underground at District 13 and she is one of the top leaders in district 13. In the movie it seems that Katniss is very frazzled and isn?t the person she was in the first and second movie. Still Katniss is kinda pissed off about the games and President Snow bombing district 13 because of the propo Katniss sent out, so Katniss tries to do everything she can to take out President Snow and kill him. In my opinion if I had to choose over the book and the movie i'd choose the book, it gives way more detail and although it?s not the funnest thing to do it does give more detail.

There are a lot of differences between the book and the movie. One difference is that in the book when President Coin (President of district 13) offers Katniss to become their mockingjay Katniss makes demands and one of them was that she got to kill President Snow with her own hands and in the movie she didn?t say that, i guess it was left out to keep it PG-13. Another difference is that Finnick wasn?t seen that much in the movie but in the book Finnick was an important character therefore in the movie you can?t see Katniss and Finnick create an emotional bond that makes them close friends. Also, another major difference is Petta?s appearence in the interviews he had. In the book one of the interviews Petta demands a cease fire and warns Katniss that they are coming for district 13 and then the guards take Petta and start beating him and blood splashes on the camera that is still rolling. Again the director probably took that out to keep the film PG-13. , but I think they should have kept that part in the movie so Katniss would be sad and it would show that Katniss still cares about Petta. The last big difference is that when they did the rescue mission for Petta the book just talked about the mission just being simple and being shown to Katniss and a small audience but in the movie it showed the whole operation and where everyone that they saved had been tortured. Next it showed Katniss and President Snow start arguing to each other while Gale, Boggs and the crew are shown doing their job and saving Peeta. I thought that was a cool way to show how and the trouble they had to go to just to save Peeta. The ending spot of the book was a good place to end and it just made you want to spend your money again and watch
“Mockingjay Part 2.”

My recommendation to my peers is to read the book. The book has all the little details and it will get your brain going of what you expect for the movie. My opinion is to read the book.

I read and watched the movie so if you're like me, and don?t like to read you can just skim the book for all the important details and then just watch the movie, sure beats reading to whole book. Go out and go get Mockingjay (book) and read it I promise you it won?t be fun, but you?ll get all the little tine tiny details that you?ll need and that people can?t express on screen.
