This heart-winning movie, starring Andy Garcia and Meg Ryan, is an excellent example of the life of an alcoholic and how alcoholism cannot only destroy the person with the problem, but her family too. Meg Ryan plays Alice, a closet drinker. Her husband, Michael, played by Andy Garcia, is a caring and loving husband who is unaware that his wife has a problem. Meg is perfect because of her cute, little-girl personality. She can also be very emotional at times, which this movie calls for. Andy plays his part just as well. He cares for his wife and wants to help her overcome her problem, but he cannot because he does not really listen to his wife.

When A Man Loves A Woman is very touching and emotional about a husband's dedication to helping his wife overcome her drinking problem while trying to keep them together. This movie is not one to miss. If you have not seen it, go to your nearest video store and rent it. You will not be disappointed
