“Battle: Los Angeles” was a movie that seemed to rely more on spectacular special effects then on dialogue. The movie attempted to ellude from lackadaisical dialogue by enriching the movie with explosions and other special effects. Everything from the cliché cut scenes of Aaron Eckhart’s facial reactions to the fiery chaos around him, to the sudden plunges into action packed moments with little meaning caused this movie to struggle. The movie tended to leave out information that would have helped to create a more structured plot, and the aliens seemed very one-dimensional and unoriginal. Overall, the movie was decent, with theater-quality special effects and sub-par dialogue, I would rate this movie 6 out of 10 stars.
