50 First Dates is about a girl named Lucy and a guy named Henry. Lucy was in a car accident over a year ago and has serious head injuries.So she has a short term memory. Lucy only remembers everything before the accident. Every morning when she gets up she thinks that it's October 11 the year before.
Lucy's dad and brother pretend that it's the day before the accident everyday. Lucy does the same thing everyday. When Lucy falls asleep every night her memory erases everything she did that day. The people work in the cafe are some of their family best friends who are trying to protect Lucy.Henry meets Lucy one day in this cafe.
Henry will go as far as he needs to go to be with Lucy. At first when Lucy's dad finds out that she is with Henry, her dad isn't happy. He doesn't want Henry to be with Lucy. That's becuse of Lucy's short term memory. He thinks that it's a bad idea that Lucy has a boyfriend.
