The Waking Dark by Robin Wasserman

April 1, 2013
The first word that comes to mind after reading this book: dark. In a twisted and obscure turn of events, a small town in Kansas becomes the center of murders and secrets.
The book was extremely well written. It's told in first person, but changes from character to character. They all have their own separate stories that intertwine with the others. The emotion is raw and real. There's romance, thrills, surprises, and humor in this novel.
I recommend reading this book if you are over the age of 13. It has a good amount of profanity in it (it's not overused, but still there) and some more mature topics.
Overall, it's a great book that forced me to read almost the whole thing in one day. It's a must-have for lovers of thriller stories!
