In this sixth collection of short stories written by Stephen King, one can find twenty different stories that include separate characters and experiences. King brings each of his characters to life by using different speech and thought patterns for each person in such a way that is easily understood by the young adult. Some characters are very quirky and arguably stereotypical, but whenever each character interacts with another you are easily able to tell which character is which. Despite being categorized as fiction and horror, this novel focuses on realism, while also sprinkling in some supernatural twists and aspects for entertainment and goose bumps. Fair warning, though, as some of these stories were rewritten and adapted by King throughout his years, which debatably can be a great or terrible thing. Overall, if you are the type for reading chilling stories that have many different and entertaining characters, then this is the novel for you.
