Life of Pi, by Yann Martel, is a fictional story about an Indian boy who got stuck on a boat with a huge tiger after a shipwreck. It is a beautiful and inspirational book that brings us to a fantasy world, seems to be a whole lot different than anything we have ever experienced before. The author creates a fantasy world that makes us forget about our everyday problems, and helps us imagine a wonderful world full of beauties and cool experiences that we wouldn’t meet with if we didn’t read this book. The realistic point of view that brings the reader to the situation of the tiger and Pi, begins to fade away as the story goes, when they start to make memories together. At times, the book gets seriously unusual, because of the unreal islands they visit and all the illusory inspections. The book is completely escaped from realism, after reading the book, there are barely any signs of a real story. The author excessively tests our credulity with all these stories and moments of the book.
