We’ve all been told the generic story of Cinderella. Cinder is a futuristic take on the Cinderella we all know so well, where cyborg parts replace glass slippers. Cinder is placed in the future Beijing after the fourth world war which has caused the world to create a peace treaty which makes it so no one can fight. The people on earth are trying to get the people on the moon to also sign the treaty, but the queen has not agreed. The main character in Cinder is a cyborg named Cinder who lives with her evil stepmother and two stepsisters. The main character Cinder is a hardworking girl with a can do spirit that can be admired by all who read this book. I would recommend this book to teenagers because it has a little violence in it and some talk of the people on the moon not being very monogamous. Despite these small things, it is still a very enjoyable book to read and I would definitely recommend this book.
