The Book Thief is a very emotional book told from Death's point of view during the Holocaust. Death tells the story of a little girl growing up in Germany during this time, all of her adventures, successes, and failures. This book made me laugh and also made me cry. Since the author wrote this story to reflect his parent's stories from their childhood (they're from Germany) you can really feel the pain that these people go through. Markus Zuszak lays it all on the line in this novel.
