Everyday at lunch, do you ask yourself, 'How is this Hamburger and fries going to affect my body?' According to research, the average American doesn't think about the effects that the fast food will have on their body. However, there are other people that know the major effects that fast food has on their body over a period of time. But what can we do to eat healthy and yet have fast service? There isn't anything we can do, because for every two miles of road, there are at least thirty to fifty restaurants all competing for your business. And the more these restaurants compete, the more they lower their prices, to appeal more to consumers. And the cheaper the prices on the food, the more people buy and eat. And the more we eat the more health risk we will deal with. The Novel 'Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal' written by Eric Schlosser, addresses many of the problems with our society, because of fast food.
