The Pillars of the Earth is a historical novel by Ken Follett published in 1989 about the building of a cathedral in the town of Kingsbridge, England. The families in the story go throw a lot to build it.

Kenneth Martin "Ken" Follett is a Welsh author of thrillers and historical novels. He has sold more than 130 million copies of his books. The book is realistic fiction, and he is very historically correct from the religious area it takes place in to the building of the cathedral.

I thought Ken Follett did a phenomenal job a creating a very intriguing book that felt as if you were reading a movie. The characters in the book go throw so much to achieve their goals. Many die, and few survive.

Like I said earlier I thought the book was just plain out amazing. Though some parts were dull, for the most part I was always on the edge of my seat.
