I saw this book the first time in a teenage magazine. I loved the way it looked and the line ‘Why be the sheep when you can be the wolf?’ suck in my heads for days. So when I saw it at Wal-Mart for $12 dollars I had to have it. Now that I’m finish I really want to get my money back. The setting is old in the year of 1485 which means girls have no power and arrange marriages are still in place. The names differ from normal ones like Anne and different ones like Isabeau. The concept isn’t even that interesting which made me sad. The main character Ismae isn’t even that reliable and sort of boring. There is an unlikely love story in this teenage book is not even that unlikely and you’ll know about it within the first 100 pages. With this being the first book in the His Fair Assassin series let’s just say I am not reading any more in Ismae life.
