Are scorpions just arachnids or could they be something more? Matteo Alacran aka El Patron, the leader of a small strip of poppy fields called Opium between the U.S. and Mexico (Aztlan), is a feared drug lord and is known around the world. His clone, whose name is also Matteo Alacran, does not know his purpose. At first, he does not even know he is a clone. Once Matt leaves his small cottage he lives with his guardian Celia. He gets to the big house where El Patron lives and finds out that he is a clone. When he is there he finds out the position clones have in the world, one word, animals. What is Matt's role? Why did he get treated like an animal? You will have to read this intriguing book to untangle the rest of the details. This book is so enjoyable because the author uses cliff hangers at the end of every chapter. You will not be able to put this book down!
