What would you say if you had a missing parent your whole life, and you found out they were an ancient Greek God? Plus, your immortal Greek God parent said that he wouldn’t have any more kids decades before you were born. Oh, and monsters from ancient Greek myths always are trying to kill you. Welcome to Percy Jackson’s life. During the summer after the end of Percy Jacksons sixth grade year, he finds out he is a son of Posideon, one of the “Big Three” (Zeus, Posideon, and Hades). He also finds out he needs to find a missing godly weapon in ten days to prevent a war of the gods. This book is an amazing piece of writing that I would recommend to anyone sixth grade or above. Outstanding work, Rick Riordan.
