The Grapes of Wrath – The Intro

John Steinbeck, amazing Californian author, wrote the book The Grapes of Wrath, and the main character’s name is Tom Joad. The beginning is not amazingly captivating, though you will still be hooked in faster than many other books. Joad is a fairly laid back person who takes others in to perspective. Once, he got a ride by a worker that was working for a rich man. The rich man had him put a No Riders sticker on the windshield of his red truck to make sure no one rides. Joad is still allowed access to a ride because the driver lets him, despite the sticker on his windshield. Joad is a very respectable man though he does get put down occasionally by others. Grapes of Wrath is a great book, and though it is long, it has many different meanings and mood-changes throughout the entire story
