What would you do if you were being accused of murder, and had to go to jail for 25 years or more? In the book, Monster, Steve Harmon, Bobo Evans, and James King are on trial for the murder of Alguinaldo Nesbitt. “He had every right to defend his property”, said Petrocelli, King’s lawyer,” when Evans and King grabbed the gun from Nesbitt and ‘accidentally’ shot him.”

This book always leaves the reader wondering who is guilty, and who is innocent. But, I would not recommend it to people who like a lot of suspense right away. Myers does a good job drawing you into the book right from the first page. He develops Steve’s character towards the middle of the book and gives him a good and bad impression, causing you to wonder if he is guilty or not.

I would recommend this book to people who like to read plays about mystery. Monster is written in scenes and lets you develop the characters by yourself. Monster always leaves you wondering until the very last page.
