The Red Pyramid
The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan is a book about two siblings who find themselves in a very bizarre situation. Carter and Sadie lived lives completely opposite of each other. Carter travels abroad with his father and Sadie is a normal schoolgirl, with normal friends.
Although this is not a very high level book, it was very entertaining. I would recommend this book to any teen that likes fantasy style books and is looking for a light read.
My only critic of this book would be the style of writing. The constant switching of perspective between Carter and Sadie is similar to a huge rollercoaster ride after a big meal. It makes you sick. Throughout the book it can get a little confusing if you don’t pay attention closely. Overall, it was a very entertaining book.
