TailSpin, by Catherine Coulter is an FBI thriller that keeps the reader turning pages. As it gets harder and harder to keep secrets, several story-lines start to intertwine, making it impossible to put the book down. These many secrets are what keep the story enticing for all readers.
Special Agent Jack Crowne is flying a very important psychiatrist, Dr. MacLean, to Washington, D.C., but crashes on the way, nowhere near an area with cell phone reception. Rachael Abbott is on the run after someone attempted to drown her. She is trying to get off the grid by moving to a virtually unknown area with her uncle. When she is almost to her Uncle’s house, she witnesses Jack and Dr. MacLean’s crash and is able to help save both of them. Married Special Agents Lacey Sherlock and Dillon Savich are sent to help Jack. Because of his dementia, Dr. MacLean could no longer keep the doctor-patient confidentiality agreement for some of Washington D.C.’s big- shots, resulting in the attempts on his life. Rachael tries to keep her issue a secret from the FBI agents because she suspects her family members, who are very involved in politics, are the ones who tried to kill her. Once that secret is out, the team of FBI
agents must try to stop the attempts on Rachael and Dr. MacLean’s lives and find who is responsible.
This book was a wonderful read and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to read thrillers. It was able to keep my attention, but it was also an easy read. At times I could get slightly lost in the plot, but I was able to get back on track quite easily. Due to the structure, vocabulary, and plot of the book, it was perfect for an easy, entertaining read.
