Pregnant Pause-Han Nolan

Eleanor Crowe, the sixteen year old girl in this story is pregnant. She is very different from the rest of the kids in her class, always drinking, smoking, and stealing. But all of those are the least of her worries now that her and her boyfriend are about to have a kid. They have to begin a whole new life style away from all the parents and everything. Eleanor and Lam take a huge step in life at a very young age, and they learned from it. That's what I loved about this book.

I can relate to Elly in two ways she is sixteen and in high school. Otherwise I am very different, and I loved that about this book. I learned so much from this book and it will stay with me for the rest of my life I am sure. I really recommend anyone guy or girl to read this book I believe anyone can take some kind of knowledge out of it. Everything about this book was so intense and uplifting it made me never want to take a break from reading. I rarely ever find books like that so it is another reason I liked this book so much.

Experiencing reading about a girl my age about to tell her parents that she is five months pregnant was very scary. I would never want this to happen to me it could take a lot away from my life such as graduating high school or even cutting out the opportunity toward a lifelong dream. For the most part I liked this book a lot. It was sort of a guide to me and reminded me that there are bad things that happen in life. Also I need to be careful with everything I do and say because it can affect me and sometimes other people.

I did hate one part about this book though and that was the beginning when Elly had to tell her parents she was pregnant. Obviously she was scared and didn't have a clue what to do but her parents were just down right mean to her. As soon as she told them they immediately seemed that they didn't want anything to do with her. This must of hurt Eleanor so much. Yes, I realize if I was a parent with a daughter having a baby at sixteen I would be a little upset to but they didn't even support her.

Overall this book was great and I recommend everyone who has struggled with anything to read it. It shows that many people have a lot worse then you. Even though you're having a tough situation, think of others also is what I took out of this book.
