Divergent takes place in a future Chicago. The entire society is divided into five factions. These factions dictate your beliefs, career, and class. The main character is a 16 year old girl, Tris, who is divergent. This means that she could be in any faction but isn’t perfect in any faction either. She has to pick a faction, and she doesn’t like it.

I enjoyed reading this book but wasn’t challenged by it. The story itself is simple, but not predictable. The great part of Divergent is that it satisfies your curiosity. It asked deep questions and later answers them. I woud recommend this book to anyone who enjoys other dystopian novels.
