Earlier this year, I came across a coming to age, spunky novel on love and time. One Day written by David Nicholls is an attractive, yet sentimental book on two very different people. Emma Morley is a highly academic woman with much potential, yet is in-between planned and undecided. On the opposite is Dexter Mayhew who is a womanizer with no sense of responsibility and is in every way spontaneous. This story is about these two individuals who meet on the night of college graduation. They spend the day together and after do not stop thinking about one another. This book explains their relationship over a span of 20 years, where the two meet on the same exact date–July 15th. I think this book was just magnificent and truly close to reality as it captures human emotions and how they evolve over time. Bravo.

A modern twist of When Harry Met Sally. Beautiful.
