The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

By
The Book Thief

The Book Thief is a twisting tale that will keep you holding on to the story of Liesel Memenger's struggles in Germany in the time of World War II, her experiences being narrated by the Specter of Death. She works her way though all sorts of events that so many German's went through during World War II.

The main focus of this book is on Liesel Memenger and her family, as well as the others she meets in Germany are involved in this story. Many things happen to Liesel, including acquiring her title as “Book Thief” for obvious reasons.

This book makes me think about the history of the world. In history, we often forget to think of other places besides America's history. Many other interesting events have happened in the past of other places aside from America (in this case, Germany).
