Kindred is probably one of the most inspirational books I’ve ever read. It was so addicting, I couldn’t put it down and it kept me up at night. It’s the kind of books that make you think about what you’ve done you’re whole life and it makes you realize how much you take for granted on a daily basis. Something as simple as a bed to sleep on at night, we never think about how much it affects our life and how different our lives would be without one. I was never interested in history and actually it was my least favorite subject. But reading Kindred made me want to learn more about black history throughout our time. Octavia Butler surly knows how to keep a readers attention and I would recommend this book to anyone.
