Where The Heart Is

I was assigned to read "Where The Heart Is" in my tenth grade English class. When I first opened up the book, I didn't want to set the book down. I wanted to keep reading and reading, but we read most of the book in class. Reading ahead would have ruined all the surprises that come at you really quickly and surprisingly.

Seventeen year old and pregnant Novalee
and her boyfriend, Willy Jack Pickens head to California to start a new life. But things don't go so well. When Novalee is stranded at a Wal-Mart by Willy Jack in Sequoyah, Oklahoma, it becomes the turning point of her life. In the small Southwest town, she finds everyone very welcoming and friendly. All the friends that she has made along her journey through life, she had made and turned them into her very own family.

This book was very interesting and an attention getter. The surprising events that happen in this book makes it a very good book. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who does or doesn't read books.
