Have you ever wondered what it would be like to find true love at 15? The struggles and joys of this are all portrayed in this book, Scrambled Eggs at Midnight, by Brad Barkley and Heather Hepler. This book was one of the best books I have ever read. It was written beautifully and it felt like I was living in the characters’ world.

This book is mainly about Calliope and Eliot who live in Ashville, North Carolina. Calliope is tired of moving around the country at the drop of a hat with her mother, and Eliot yearns for the days when he lived on the Carolina Beach and his mother and father were happy. Cal (as she calls herself) and Eliot meet by chance and fall in love. They worry whether they’ll stay together forever like they want to, or if Cal will be dragged out to the west with her mother.
I really enjoyed this beautifully written book and I would suggest it to boys and girls ages 13 to 16. This book showed the story of two teenagers falling in love.
