"The Things We Carried," by Jeon Shenzhen is about how the lives of many students is devoted to the sole purpose of a grading system. This causes many students to overreact and study to the point that they are losing tons of sleep over stress about school. The author mentions on how students are "immersed in their text booklets" because of ow thhey are wanting to increase their grades. This shows us on how school is important but that loosening up a bit would not hurt us. This is a great reminder since we are in the middle of testing season and many are studying for great periods of time. Thank you, Jeon for reminding students to not stress that much.
