The writing titled “A Letter to My Acne,” written by Yenefiker A., talks about her struggle with self image after obtaining acne. Her writing left me feeling gracious. I am unable to relate to this article in the way of having acne, but I am able to relate to be insecure about myself.  When the author said, “I began to pick apart every flaw that I had.”  I related to this because of having insecurities in my own life.  This writing was written very well with much description and imagery.  In the writing she says, “you first arrived as a minuscule bump in the center of my smooth brown forehead.”  This shows a very good image of her first sprouting of acne.  Many good descriptions like this were used throughout the writing.  I enjoyed being able to read about a girl with similar struggles as myself.
