“Becoming an only child” by Madison Waller
When I read that story, it reminded me of how most of my brothers left. Now it feels like we are a family of four, not six. My oldest brother moved to NY, the second one we never see, because “He’s looking for a job,” but honestly, I only see him every other day. My second oldest brother is only 1 year and 11 months older than me exactly.

Madison said“My brother Josh and I have been friends since day one,” That is just what I think about my brother and I, not as much now, but when we were little. He was always nice, happy, and he didn’t spark any long debates every single conversation. We play COD and video games together sometimes, he’s a techy person, I learn most of my computer stuff from him.

I miss what he was, but what he is now I still take. When he goes off to college in four years, I’ll feel lonely. A kid who grew up in a house of people, now with more animals than humans.
