In “Worth It” in the October issue of Teen Ink, I was shocked by AlleaBelle’s writing. I can relate to her point of view. I used to play baseball, and I can remember all the feelings associated with it too. That feeling of stepping onto the gravel/sandy field, feeling the crunch of the ground with every step I took to my position. Standing on my toes, ready to leap for such a small ball that might mean nothing to the spectators, but it meant everything to me at that moment. The love of the game was the inspiration for this poem. I can understand the passion put into the words Alleabelle wrote.
