The feelings that overcome me when I'm around you

are woven together in a very odd tangle

the innocent attraction, confusion, and indifference too

put my heart and mind into a state of mangle

Conversing with you makes me feel like I'm at home

there's a sense of safety when you're in the room

but there is noting between us...I am alone

the fact that it will never work fills me with gloom

Why is it that the sound of your laugh

puts me in a trance,

reminds me of an old photograph, 

and makes me want to dance?

You are something out of the ordinary, that is true
