My Work Chair
Habit takes a hold, and repetition
Binds me to this seat and I cannot budge
Until I complete my task. Fruition
Is the goal, the one solvent for this glue.

It's like that moment you decide to sit
With Sarah at lunch instead of with Jane
And then Jane walks by and sees you and it
Sucks 'cause they're not friends so Jane eats alone.

So you decide you have to eat with her
Everyday because she gets so upset
When she's by herself. But you don't even
Like her all that much. You just do it.

Well, This chair is my Jane, a choice I made
Too many times to back out of it now.
