My world was on edge, slowly shattering;
Tried to fix it, but I end up hurting more.
An easy way out was what I’m dreaming.
Seems like I could not find it anymore.

I tried to search for it, to look for it;
But as I’m slowly figuring it out,
I thought of it; seems like reasons won’t fit.
I think I’m someone they could live without.

I want an enormous dose of morphine;
I longed for comfort ‘gainst this so much pain,
Really wanted to know what could have been,
Strength and courage was what I need to gain.

I thought of thee, you’re the fire in the dark;
Thy love, thy warmth, was my own kind of spark.

I wrote this for our school paper. I just love expressing what I feel through writing.
