-Peter Van Houten

Oh delightful mold that I hold so dear
You tell of so many wonderful things
The thought of you just makes me tear
All those scientific discoveries

They don't understand how awesome you are
They find you in bread and shriek with disgust
Toss you away in exile so far
Don't listen to them to me you're a must

While I love you so sometimes it wanes thin
For sometimes you smell just a little bit
And you ruin my food which fades my grin
But worry not, doesn't matter a bit

Even though your usually frowned upon
My love for you will never be undone

The author's comments:
I wrote this ironically because sonnets are supposed to be about praising something you love and nobody wants to praise mold
