You dragged me up to pull me down
You soaked in my blood
from bits of broken glass
Then waited and created
knuckles of gold brass
When finished beating me
with my vulnerabilities
Held out your arms,
to embrace my tattered being
And I shudder you away
then I scream, I want you back
But you mistake it for anger
and leave everything blue-black
And I run away to breathe
in the navy sky
And see the stars that tell me,
that I'm still alive.
