Only for you am I always myself,
Only for you I share all my secrets,
Only you never share any yourself.
Only for you I don't have some regrets.
It's only you that I cry in front of,
And you always seem completely sincere,
Your words gentle, like the wings on a dove.
Only for you, I stop shedding the tears.
I know it didn't work out the first time.
You told me you couldn't live without me,
And you completely dropped me on a dime.
My pain was hidden so you couldn't see.
Just so you know, I will always love you,
And I can't help but hope you love me too.

The author's comments:
We were told to write a love poem in English a few weeks ago. So I decided to do a Shakespearean Sonnet, since they are primarily love poems. The difficult part was finding my muse. So, I just opened up my mind and my heart, didn't even read the words that sprawled across the page until the last word was down. This is what I came up with.
