One's Light
Twisted, Gnarled, Abused, and Neglected
 Yet still standing, always erected
Through hurt, through pain, through oh so known sorrow
Always seeming to dread that unknown morrow
Yet there is one welcomed and needed Light
The one keeping all sane throughout dark nights
Not some tiny, diminished, dwindling glare
Neither demonic flame, too much to bare
As long as there is that constant soft Light
 That luminous, glorious, luscious sight
The Twisted and Gnarled is neigh painful
 Abused and Neglected is sustainable
So among that Gnarled and Neglected
My heart’s fine, with Light, it is protected
