I wish to protest against the passive.
Not caring makes life so much easier
For those who avoid a life that’s massive
My message to be active’s cheesier
Than every toddler’s show that has been done.
Yet still I wish we all could take a stand
Because building homes is certainly fun
Though overdone by the skinny and tanned.
Protesting can get one into college
If admissions are loving your passion.
Each line should absolutely acknowledge
How caring such turned your face so ashen.
Or maybe this protest’s in the wrong place
So many problems with no time to face.

In my American Protest literature class we had to write freely about something related to protest.

I wrote a sonnet protesting those that don't actually care about anything.
