Prepare for the worst, but hope for the best.
Perfect girls aint real and real girls aint perfect.

To be a soldier is very brave.
My cousin Marty is in Iraq.
He sees many men and women put in the grave.
We pray every night he will soon be back.
Soldiers sleep on rock hard ground,
Trying to get a good night sleep
with bombs going off all around.
All awhile kids hiding under their jeep.
But people still take soldiers for granted,
Not know how scared they could be,
For just around the corner,
A bomb could be planted
Wondering if the next one could be me.
So next time you see a soldier,
Take his hand and say,
Thank you my unknown friend
For leaving me safe today.
