Find the Words

Release the words into my mouth
as they drip from your tongue;
for they pierce the air with elegance,
telling the stories they've sung.

Place the words into the child's eyes
as they escape from your sight;
for they blink uncontrollably,
blinding the mournful light.

Send the words into the fingers
as they ignite with your touch;
for they long to be grasped,
with a free, desperate clutch.

Dream the words into your mind
as they are born with strong will;
for they travel endlessly,
hoping to find a story to steal.
