I’ve tried to fit a square into a circle
I’ve attempted at walking on water
And yet I’m still waiting on some miracle
Resurrect a long-gone martyr
I’ve faced the skeletons of my past
All the while searching for clues
But deep rays of melancholy purple cast
Down on days with no known blues
My mind is locked in a deserted room
My heart hanging by a single thread
Slowly, expectantly awaiting its doom
A never-ending nightmare in my head
Helplessly, I try to feel my way out
Bumping into trouble at every angle
Wanting to be heard with a silent shout
Wanting to be free but stuck in a tangle
I now see what has been in front of me
And within seconds silver clouds depart
Finally, I turn my back for eternity
To try and break me apart
Time eases the soul and sets it right
Because I had to see first to know
That when day turns to night
Time alone will make it show.
