With her hands so tiny and feet so small
She has me wrapped all around her finger
So long ago I thought I knew it all
On swift wings did the mother stork bring her
She changed my perspective about the world
It changed as soon as I looked in those eyes
My heart melted, my mind started to whirl
And all these feelings came as a surprise
Truly a fathers love it knows no bounds
At this moment I’d give her anything
She’s the queen of my heart, she wears the crown
And never would I ever change a thing
She is the little princess of my heart
And always I have known it from the start

The author's comments:
I am 18 years old, I just enrolled myself back into high school so that I can graduate with a diploma and support my family later in life. I wrote this poem as a reminder of why I'm in school and the one thing that pushes me above all else to do my best.
