On the Inside

I can hear laughter
erupting from a mouth.
But it is no longer mine.
Because what I am feeling
they cannot see.
Nor is it possible to define.
Nobody quite understands
the truth spoken in words,
for they tend to complain.
And reaching out is a mystery
since a hand is not present
for the grasp to be portrayed.
Still,I see twinkles in eyes,
along with love in hearts,
as people pass me by.
But I will not let them rule me
by being happy in their lives.
Because living lonely is a case to try.
