Loosing a friend

We went our separate ways
but there are still those days
I remember my best friend
I guess everything must come to an end

I may miss together
although that would never weather
but more than ever
I miss friends forever

You were the one
who was always there
waiting to comfort
and listen with care

But I broke you heart
Which I will always regret
but apologies don’t count
When you wish we never met

Why can’t things
go back to the way they were
but that won’t happen
This I am almost sure

All I can say is sorry
sorry for all I said
For all the lies
That you were feed

This reminds me of the situation I was recently in. I lost a couple friends to a pointless fight and their true colors showed. Now I can't trust them. But, anyway,  great poem!
