What Makes Our Love True

I loved you from the first time,
I heard your voice.
And I knew then,
I had to make a choice.
Love you or lose you.
Five years dragged by,
until I caught your eye.
November 10th 2009.
Our fingers intertwined.
We've gone through a lot.
We've both gotten hurt,
and fell in the dirt.
We picked each other up like we must,
and wiped off the dust.
It's been over a year and a half.
We've shared so many laughs.
Although a lot has happened in the past,
we're gonna make this last.
You love me
and I love you.
That's what makes our love
true.
