Favorite Quote:
Don't tell God how big the storm is, tell the storm how big God is.

Wake up, hear the cry, listen to the sound
But I can’t understand, the words are slurred
I can’t help but breathe hard as my heart pounds
He tried to tell, but sorrow held the words

I was caught breathless, my stomach flexed
No tears at first, but soon like a river
I couldn’t believe it, I was perplexed
Why can one tree bloom, while one more wither

I couldn’t talk, but I silently prayed
All is well, you are alive in me for
Though the grass may wither, the flower fade
Mem’ries of you will last forevermore

The words that kept me from falling apart
Are face the storm with a song in your heart

In the summer of 2008 my best friend was hit by a car and died. This poem is me first hearing what happened and what I felt when i found out that day.
