She stood shaking at the edge of a cliff
Leaning back and forth between life and death
She couldn't decide and she wondered if
Was this going to be her final breath
Thought of her parents and took a step forward
She thought of her friends and took two steps back
She turned around and started running towards
A future so bright while her past was black
Tears ran down her face as she ran through town
She was running towards the light of hope
She hit rock bottom and couldn't go down
She was in need of a new way to cope
Then she realized she was dreaming in some state after death
Watching what could have happened if she hadn't jumped off that cliff
