If you release your thoughts to wander free,
The moments slowly blend, beyond time’s sight.
A silent gale of petals suddenly
Appears, so strange, a dream escaped from night.

The world is full of secrets, whispered true;
I walk within the floating flower breeze
To stand in awe of spirits old and new,
The silver tree enshrined by canopies.

With pity, yet still cruel is time’s dark spell.
For time ignored that glimpse of beauty,
An island in my mind, in seas too fell
To cross towards reason’s shores of reality.

Yet magic’s loneliness may also please:
The joy of voyages through magic seas.

This was written for a school assignment, actually. The moment I was trying to describe was when, while walking home, I suddenly noticed these petals floating past me, and looked up to see this beautiful tree. It was wonderful.
