The day He sent you from above to save the lives of all.
As you were sent down, the angels sang a glorious chord .
In the hay is where you calmly rest. No one hears a single squall.
A distant bright star leads the worshipers to your side;
Everyone comes together to praise and admire the brilliant new king.
You were sent from above to help and heal and save and guide.
I pray you will love us as to your greatness, we trust and cling;
I pray you will watch us and forgive us for all we've done wrong-
Like the day you were nailed onto that wooden cross;
You sacrificed all to save us from our sins our whole lifelong.
I pray you will be waiting by the gates when it is my time to come across.
You have saved the souls of many since the day you were sent to be king.
