"Anything Beautiful is easily Lost"-Unknown

Your name always bring music to my
ears,
And the rhythm of my heart skips a
beat
As your voice rids me of all
captive fear;
Your melodic comfort sounding so
sweet.
Your eyes are like Beethoven's
symphony;
There like a drum beating into my
soul,
And when I think how you and I
could be
I realize its my heartdance you
stole.
But, I never thought your love
would be mine
Untill the day our harmony began;
It was when we enacted the great
crime
Of falling in song all over again.
Through my words, adoration will
not die;
Its eternal music to you and I.

This poem was originally written for an assignment for my Creative Writing class. The inspriation, however, came from a person very close to me. It also came from my love of music. Hence, the continuous comparison between aspects of love and aspects of music. The subject matter, love, is also a reoccuring theme in many popular sonnets.
