Why do I feel the need to pursue you
When I know we will never feel the same?
You reject me with all you have, it's true,
My love for you's and ever burning flame.
You tell me that you will never love me,
These words burn holes inside my beating heart.
I wish today I could set my love free, Alas I can't, with it I'll never part.
The greatest thing that I could do for you, Is keep my love a secret in my soul.
But that is not an easy thing to do,
Without you my life never will be whole.
We'll never be together this is true,
my heart breaks every time I Think of you.

The author's comments:
I actually wrote this sonnet for my final project for Honors English. Everyone in the class, plus a few other people, told me that it was amazing. I do not agree. But that probably has something to do with me not liking any of my works. It is written in Iambic Pentameter and ABAB rhyme scheme.
